Founded in December 2020 upon the approval of the civil affairs department, Zhongguancun Digital Economic Industry Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the "Alliance") is a nationwide non-profit social organization. Jiang Zhenghua, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 10th National People's Congress, and Ma Peihua, Vice Chairman of the 12th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, serve as Honorary Chairmen. A group of authoritative experts in the field of digital economy, including Academicians Wu Hequan, Yuan Yaxiang, and Deng Zhonghan, serve as advisors to the Alliance. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the China Association for Science and Technology, and other organizations act as guiding units for the Alliance. China Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile, JD Group, Huawei, Jingneng Group, and Beijing Electronics Holdings serve as joint chairmen units. Tencent, ZTE, BOE, China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group, CRRC Corporation, OCT Group, CITIC, Beijing Enterprises Group, Beijing Urban Construction Group, Yili Group, Bank of Beijing, Huaxia Bank, Yonyou Network, iFLYTEK, Qi An Xin, and other leading digital enterprises have actively joined the Alliance and serve as vice-chairman units. Currently, the Alliance has more than 400 member units, including Fortune Global 500 companies, central enterprises, large state-owned enterprises, unicorns, and specialized, refined, differentiated and innovative enterprises. The Alliance is the designated recommendation institution for big data industry development pilot demonstration projects by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the DCMM (Data Management Capability Maturity Model) and digital transformation standardization assessment institution, and the leading unit initiating the digital economy standard research group of the National Information Technology Standardization Technical Committee.

The Alliance actively implements the important spirit proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping in the report of the Twentieth National Congress of the CPC on "accelerating the development of the digital economy, promoting the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy, and creating a cluster of digital industries with international competitiveness". With Zhongguancun as the core, based in Beijing, facing the whole country, and going global, the Alliance takes "promoting digital industrialization and industrial digitalization" as its mission. Specifically, it gathers resources from government, industry, academia, and research, absorbs outstanding digital economy enterprises and professionals, and is dedicated to strengthening technological empowerment, building a digital technology empowerment platform; strengthening service empowerment, establishing benchmark digital enterprises; strengthening knowledge empowerment, creating a high-level think tank in the field of the digital economy; and strengthening ecological empowerment, deepening the integration and innovation of the digital economy. This offers robust support for building a digital China and promoting Chinese-style modernization.
